The Strong and Fierce Circe

I recently had a chance to sit down and have a chat with the infamous Circe.
She looked elegant and had a sense of strength in her eyes.
She had carried herself nicely and wore an ivory tunic. Her hair was tied back with a clip, and she had beautiful pins in her hair.
I asked her a series of questions because I wanted to know about what life was like with special powers. I wanted to know what would cross her mind during an event of trouble or chaos.

Interviewer: So, what was life like living with powers?
Circe: Life was normal, it was good. I found friends and I found enemies. I even had kids and spent every day defending the ones I love.

Interviewer: That sounds like much, how did you manage?
Circe: I was able to hold myself up by my own willpower. I didn't necessarily need a man to keep me going. Yes, I had lovers, but they never defined who I was.
Interviewer: What made you have that mindset? That's a really good way to live if you enjoy being independent.

Circe: Yeah, I guess I realized that it's just me in this world, and I have to survive just like everyone else, so I decided to stand strong and to fight for myself.

Interview with Circe, continued.

Interviewer: So, when did you know that you had powers?

Circe: I had found out that I had powers after turning my first lover into a God.

Interviewer: How did that make you feel? When did you use your powers? Did you use them daily or did you have a reason why?

Circe: I felt so powerful, I was on top of the world. I only used my powers when it was needed. One of the most memorable times that I used my powers was when I turned Odysseus' men into pigs!

Interviewer: Why pigs? But I heard you had a fling with Odysseus?

Circe: I'm not too sure why I chose pigs, haha. I did have a fling with Odysseus, I loved that man so much. We even had a kid!

Interviewer: So why didn't you tie the knot? Was it an independence thing? Or did you just not want to marry him?

Circe: Well, my whole persona is me being independent. I believe that I can do well on my own, and I can be just as strong as the men.

Interviewer: That's awesome! That's totally girl boss. Well, thank you so much for your time, and I wish the best for you.

Circe: Oh no problem, anytime!

The Weekly Greek Insider

Ancient Greece famous events

The Trojan War (1250 BC)

The Trojan War was a war between the Greeks and the people of Troy. The war was started by personal conflict. Paris, the prince of Troy, took Helen, who was the wife of Menelaus of Sparta. The war lasted 10 years. The Greeks pretended to draw out and end the war, so they left a large wooden horse in Troy that had soldiers hidden inside. The Greeks jumped out of the horse and slaughtered most of the soldiers fighting for Troy.

The creation of coin currency in Ancient Greece (600 BC)

This event was started because Greeks wanted more of an authentic currency. They chose to create a coin out of gold and use it as money. Eventually as time went on, these coins were made out of silver.
